2nd Race of the Year

Saturday I ran in another 5K race. Megan's family had signed up to do one in Spanish Fork for a lady that has cancer. I joined in on the fun!!! It is SOOO VERY NICE to run with someone. Megan's garmin told us that we were running just barely over a 9 minute mile! That is awesome for me!! The last little stretch Megan pushed me to my limit and we ran hard and fast that last little bit! If I didn't have her with me, I probably wouldn't have done as good as we did! Such a great feeling! Time for the next one!!!

After I got home from the race, Jared and I moved plants around and finished planting all of our new plants. I love to see some color added to my yard!

Saturday night, we decided to head out to Salem Pond and take the girls fishing. As soon as the line went in the water, Kylee was asking if she caught a fish yet!! Both Kylee and Jayce ended up catching a fish. It was lots of fun and cut short because of weather and dirty little girls that needed baths before bedtime!!

Jared's Gift to Me!

For our anniversary, Jared had made an appointment with the owner of the local nursery to have him help us with our front yard. I LOVE a beautiful yard with flowers and shrubs, but have no idea what to put where and all that fun stuff. The owner of the nursery helped us a ton and this past week I have been to the nursery to pick up the flowers and shrubs. I really am excited for our front yard. I love our backyard, but have struggled with our front yard. I just got back from the nursery and now have to wait for tomorrow when Jared can help me move some of our existing bushes around. Here we come beautiful yard contest!!!!!!! (Just kidding!!!) I think I kind of struggle with keeping the yard up, the weeding, the pruning back some of our big bushes, and all that, but hopefully, now that I have these fun pretty plants, I can keep it up!!

Miss Emily's Slide

Emily really enjoys being outside. If the girls are outside, she screams to be outside with them. She can't climb up the ladder to get to the big slide (thank heavens!), but she sure does enjoy her own slide!

Kylee's New Tricks

Kylee LOVES to ride her bike. I have gone on a couple of walks and had her ride her bike beside me. She has been a little bit scared riding her bike. She would walk it around any sort of bump, she didn't not like the slants of driveways going into the road. It was some slow walking! The training wheels on her bike would also sometimes slip and she would fall to the side.

Last Thursday, I was tired of it! She never wanted to ride her bike anymore. I told her that if she learned to ride her bike with no training wheels we would go get her a big princess bike (a 16 inch bike instead of the 12 inch she is riding!!!). Well, that was all the motivation she needed. I went up and down the street with her about 2 times and she had it! She was a little nervous still and had a hard time going around the bikes on the sidewalk, but she just keeps getting better. This is what she was so excited to learn yesterday!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Friday was our 6th anniversary and to celebrate, we went camping and 4wheeling WITHOUT the kids. I was so excited to get out! My in-laws watched the girls for us! Thank you SO VERY MUCH!!! The girls had a blast and Jared and I had an awesome time! Here are some fun pictures!

Back to Swimming

The pool opened yesterday and I was SOOO excited to go! Since last year, I have loved to go swimming and swim laps. It is tough. I have been running all winter and spring so I thought I was in good shape, but I was sure a huffing and puffing after 1 lap!! :) It is so nice just to go and get wet!!
