Here is some video of Kylee singing and dancing. Isn't she wonderful? I think she gets her talent in singing from me!!! :) My brothers, sister, and I grew up on these songs. Kylee LOVES them and has me turn them on all the time. Sorry for the nakedness. I was getting the girls dressed this morning and Kylee asked me if she could stay naked for "a little while" this morning.

Out to Dinner
Last night, Jared called me and said that we were going to dinner with all the coaches and their wives from the Spanish Fork football team. We went to the pizza factory and had a lovely dinner. It was so nice to get out and be without kids. I love my kids dearly, it is so nice though to be able to carry on a conversation without being interrupted or having to chase them down. There were a couple of tables near us that had lots of kids. I just looked and them and then really enjoyed my time with these grownups!!!

Foot Surgery
Yesterday I finally went to the doctor to get that stinking rock out of my foot. What an ordeal!! I felt kind of silly going in, but it feels so much better. Just a little rock in my foot, but sometimes, it just hurt. The nurse told me that it makes the story of the princess and the pea take on a whole new meaning. It sure does!! Now I am a whole woman (well, except for the tiny hole in my foot she had to make to get the rock out)!!

Thanksgiving Time
We had a great Thanksgiving. We went down to Jared's grandma's house for dinner and visiting time. There were lots of people there, but it was so fun to see everyone. Jared got our Christmas lights up before we went to dinner!!! I was so excited and so was Kylee. Last year he only got up the lights over our garage and then the snows came and he could never get back up there to finish them. He was good this year and got them all done before the snows come!!
Friday, the girls and I put up our Christmas decorations and Jared brought up the tree! When we finish our basement I would like to put a live tree upstairs and our fake one downstairs (or visa versa). I just love the smell of fresh pine. My used to put those pine tree car fresheners in her tree to get the smell. I have a music box that can hook up to the lights and the lights blink in time to the music. Kylee will stand for hours in front of the tree and dance with the music. I think she is loving this time of year. But really, who wouldn't!
We then headed out to Grantsville to spend some time with Jared's family. Jared and his brother went hunting and then we watched the memorable BYU game!! I only saw bits of it, but then watched the last 2 minutes of the fourth quarter, which is about all I could!! All I have to say is "What a GAME!!" While we were there, Kylee was running around with Ella and fell in the kitchen area and hit her lip on something. She cut it pretty good and has a lovely fat lip (again!!) I told Jared, we are probably going to have more cuts and bruises with that child then most parents of young boys do. Jared said that if she was anything like him, that is very true!!!
I made these fabulous cookies this weekend to take to Jared's grandma for doing Thanksgiving and to my mom. They were so stinking good (if you like gingersnaps). These are not hard and crunchy like real gingersnaps, but they are soft and yummy. If you have some time, make these.
2 3/4 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 cup light molasses
Combine flour, soda, and spices in a bowl and set aside. Cream sugar and margarine. Beat in egg and molasses until light and fluffy. Stir in flour mixture just until blended. Chill for 2 hours or more. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough into 3/4-inch balls, roll in granulated sugar, and place on lightly greased baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Bake about 8 to 10 minutes, until set.

Christmas Music
So, as you will notice, I have put some new songs on our blog. It is Thanksgiving week, so publicly I can now play Christmas music!! Just want you all to enjoy some of my favorites. I will be adding throughout the week and what not. When we had that first snowfall in October, you better beleive that I had the Christmas music going. I LOVE that music. It just gives me such a peaceful feeling!! Get out your music!!! My sister was saying that she already has her Christmas tree out! Kylee has been bugging me to put ours out also, but I like to do that the day after Thanksgiving. My perfect day after Thanksgiving, stay away from the stores and the madrush and the craziness, stay inside and put up Christmas decorations, listen to Christmas music, have a nice bowl of soup and some hot chocolate. Doesn't that sound heavenly?

Frustration
Kylee was just putting some DVD's away. She and Jayce enjoying pulling every single one out and I told her she needed to put them away. I was reading my scriptures and she was putting away the movies. She was getting quite frustrated because they kept falling over and she couldn't get them to stay up. She starts growling "Oh my gosh!" (Guess I really need to start watching my language!!) Then she starts saying to the movies "You are killing me!" I was dying laughing. She is picking up my habits. Good or bad! It is really funny. I really need to be more aware of what I am doing around my kids so that they don't pick up any bad habits.

Vacation!!
This weekend Jared, the kids, and I went to St. George. It was so nice to get away to some nice warm weather. We really had nothing planned. Just played it by ear. There is a dinosaur museum down there. I don't know if it is new, but we went to that. We also went to the Tuachan Ampitheater. That is beautiful. I told Jared that I would like to go see a play there next year. They are putting on Les Mis, The Sound of Music, and a Huckleberry Finn tale.
This weekend was mostly a weekend of walks, hanging out, playing a little golf, and READING!!! My mom bought the Stephanie Meyer series and I didn't put the book down all weekend!! I finished it. WOW! That really got me hooked. There are two more books in the series and I can hardly wait to get the other one tonight! Crazy how some books just pull you in.

End of an Okay Week
We have been quite sick over at our place!! Jayce has had a horrible cough. Kylee is coughing and runny, but she is still quite active. Last night was a good night in a good couple of days. I was rocking Jayce just before bed. She was real sleepy and pushes away from me and points to her bed and grunts. I laid her down in bed and out she was! Jared was on the phone trying to get some info on the Payson City basketball team he is going to play on and was holding Kylee. He put her down to write something down and out she went. Oh Lovely!!! No bedtime battles for us last night!!!! It makes all those other nights seem like dust in the wind.

My Glorious Bed
I just love my bed!!! I was telling this to Jared last night and decided to share it with you all. I love my bed, I love my mattress, I love my sheets, I love my pillows, I love making my bed each morning, I love getting into bed each night, and I especially love Wednesday nights!!! Wednesdays are the day that I wash sheets and put new ones on!! Oh how lovely!!!! :) Here are some pictures of my glorious bed just so you all can smile with me!! I know this is cheesy and really over the top, but I love that I have something that makes me so happy throughout the day when the kids are bugging each other and dinner is in the oven burned!

Leaves Falling all Around
Last week I had a doctor's appointment and we stopped by my mom's house. She had tons of leaves in her backyard so Kylee and I went out to help rake them up. I think we made a bigger mess than she had to begin with. Kylee had a blast!!

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween!! I know this is a late post, it has been crazy around here. We had a great Halloween. We went to Jared's work and Kylee did some trick or treating there. Then my mom and I came to our house and put up a witch that my dad made for us. It is the coolest thing. Here is a link if any of you are ambitious and want to make one for you house. It is a witch and cat template.
Next year I will add the cats. I love Halloween. We then had family and friends over for a fortune telling cake. A Halloween party at our house is going to become a tradition. This year it was not much, but just you wait. Each year we will add fun things and as my kids get older, it will be awesome!!!Here is a picture of my trick or treaters!!! Fun stuff!!!
