All the Jeffs Kids...

I completely spaced that we did pictures with all the kids from the Jeffs' side. They turned out way cute. Jayce had an ear infection earlier in the week and was not a help or happy child. Poor thing. Kylee was too interested in playing with cousins to really want a picture taken. But my mom did get some good ones!!!

Kylee has taken to calling Kaja her "best friend." I just love this picture of the girls.
Poor Jaxon!!! He sure is loved by the girls! :) That face says, I am not sure about this!
All of my mom's grandkids. She likes to get the kids in cute outfits around this time of year and take pictures!!
Jaxon always put a big smile on Jayce's face. She can be in the worst of moods and see him and just light up!!
We made cookies after pictures and Kylee and Kaja licked the bowl clean!

Having a snack!
Modeling the cracker piece in her hand.
Not a good day!

General Conference

We went to the cabin this last weekend and that was so much fun!! I didn't get to listen to hardly any of General Conference. For all of you that ended up being distracted by something else, you can download the podcasts for your ipod. I have already done it. Now, if I can just get my butt out of bed and go walking, I could listen to them!! I really like that!! Then I can also listen to them in my car. I need to get a roadtrip first though!! I have been listening to Harry Potter to get ready to read the 7th book and I am almost done with the 6th book on CD. I love listening to books in the car instead of music. I sometimes get sick of the music!! :) I already have kids screaming, why add to it!! :)

Yesterday I got to teach my lesson in Relief Society. It was on the talk by President Faust "The Healing Power of Forgiveness." It was a really good lesson and I was a bit emotional. Probably because of the pregnancy!!! Anyway, we had some good comments on how to learn to forgive and that we can learn little by little to forgive instantaneously, just like the Ceran family and the Williams family. It is a hard concept to learn, but once we do, we free up that energy that we are using to hold a grudge and use it for better things. I am just glad that it is over and now I can relax for another 4 weeks!!

Last night Jared and I were finally able to pick a day and make it to the temple! It was so nice to go and have a wonderful night. Tyler and Christine were the lucky ones we asked to be worn out by our kids!!! It was so great of them to do that for us. We are blessed to be surrounded by such great family and friends!

On a side note, my sister reminded me about the case lot sale. I am a HUGE coupon grocery shopper. This year, by using coupons and only buying things when they are on a good deal, I have saved over $300.00 at Smiths. I also shop at Maceys and Albertson's. If any of you are interested in this, check out this website. Pinchingyourpennies.com Click on grocery guide and then scroll down a bit and click the link that says "Click here for printable shopping lists for Utah grocery stores." Then you can chose Smith, Albertsons, Harmons, whatever. It gives you a ranking. I buy the things that are a "Red Hot Price." There is another website called "Savvyshopperdeals.com" that also does the same idea. Click on the "Shopping Wizard." Pick what store you want to see the good deals for and then hit search. It is really great because someone else does the work for you in letting you know what deals are hot or not!!! Anyway, I LOVE this and use it constantly. Thought I would pass it on to all of you moms out there looking for ways to save money.

PS I have a great way to store coupons if you are ever interested. I will maybe do a blog on that later!!

Today we went and did family pictures bright and early. I have been wanting to have pictures by the beautiful leaves in the canyon and finally did it this year. My dad went up with us and took the pictures. They turned out pretty good. Kylee was so excited about the water it was hard to get her to look at the camera. I had to go early in the morning and get some batteries for our camera. Kylee was awake and Jared was still sleeping. I told Jared I was leaving. When I got back, he was still in bed and Kylee was making cookies. She had put some chocolate milk, syrup, and powdered sugar in a bowl and was stirring it. My little betty crocker.

Yesterday, I took Kylee to get tested for preschool. They have a free preschool to help kids that have development issues. Kylee doesn't talk so that people understand. A lot of times, she will say something and then others will look at me and say "What?" Yesterday, we just went and did the hearing and vision, which everyone has to do. A preschool board secretary will call me in the next couple of weeks to set up the appointment to test her speech. If she qualifies, she will go for free. I thought that maybe she might be bused, but I am not sure about that now. We shall see. She might only go once or twice a week, but it will be a great break for me. And with a third one on the way, that break might be just what I need!! :) To keep the sanity!! When I told her that we were going to go and get her tested to see if she gets to go to school this year, she asked if I was coming. I told her yes. She gave me this scowl face and said, "You don't go to school with me!" I just hope she keeps that attitude and will be good at preschool. We are just starting to like nursery and pretty much goes by herself. It helps a lot that she has Matthew (the next door neighbor) that is "one of her friends" in nursery with her!

Here is a picture of my little Kylee bug. My parents bought these sunglasses for Kylee when we went to Lake Powell a couple of years ago. The other night we were playing with her imaginary dog and throwing on each others eyes. She said she needed to get her glasses on so that the dog wouldn't get in her eyes. She is funny little one!!! Jayce is crawling all over the place. She is a funny little one too. We thought she was going to be our mellow one, well, she is, but she sure does have a mind of her own already!! When she throws temper tantrums (which is very rare), she likes to throw herself back on her back and hit her head on the floor or launch herself forward and slap her hands on the ground. It is really actually pretty funny to see!! I just chuckle and then try and calm her down.

We went to Payson Lakes a few weeks ago. We all had fun, especially Kylee who loved to dig in the dirt and go fishing. Although, I think she scared the fish away with her loud talking. I did have a slideshow, but it stopped working!! Jared got a relaxing weekend finally! It was fun all around.

Kylee and her popsicles. She just loves them, doesn't really finish them, but sure does love them.
Jayce loves corn on the cob. She just goes at it when we give it to her.
My little cheeseball!!

Friday I had an appointment with Maternal Fetal Medicine. It was just a precautionary appointment to make sure everything was okay with the baby since I have begun the shots again!! :) Anyway, we got some pictures of the baby. Here is a picture of the foot and a good profile. It looks like the baby is blowing bubbles or something. Anyway, we did not find out the gender. I have another appointment for an ultrasound at my doctor's office on Tuesday, but after talking to the technician at Maternal Fetal Medicine, I am going to call our insurance and make sure they will cover both ultrasounds. They are quite close to each other and they might not. If they don't, well we for sure won't know what this baby will be before the due date. So, we shall see.

My girls get the worst diaper rash that I have ever seen. I am not exactly sure what I eat that effects them so badly. My doctor keeps telling me to use Desitin, but I being the mom and at home with my kids all the time, I like something else. For you moms out there that need a great homemade diaper rash cream, here you go. Mix together cornstarch, petroleum jelly, and neosporin until it is a nice gooey messy cream. It will clear up my girls diaper rash in one diaper changing. I swear by this stuff!!!

Spaghetti

We had spaghetti for dinner on Thursday night. It was a real treat. Both girls were so very messy. Jayce loved it. She ate so much, which was not a very good thing. About 1 1/2 hours later she threw all of it up and then couldn't stop. Poor girl. We are going to stay away from that for a little bit. She has been a challenge. She will not eat any baby food and then with her excema, I am nervous what to feed her from my plate. I don't want her to get allergies to food. It has been a stress working with Kylee's. But we get through it. Anyway, the pictures are fun!

Saturday we pulled out the pool to cool off. Jared ususally gets out the hose and squirts off Zoey, but this day, Kylee decided she wanted to do it. It is was pretty funny. Jared was trying to take pictures and Kylee kept squirting him! What a day to cool off.

Jared's family was over a few weeks ago and this is what all the girls in the family do when they have fun. All of Kylee's toys were out. I am sure glad they have a good time. I think it is about time for us to get a playroom!!
Here is a recent picture of Jayce. I am not so good at taking pictures of my little one!! She is just growing up so much.

Where's the light socket?

Last night we went to the Salmon Supper here in Payson. It is so good. They fly the salmon in from Alaska the day before and then cook it over fires. We have such a good time. Kylee enjoys the slides. Look at what the slides did to her hair. We all got a kick out of it.

Tyler's Reception

Tyler and Christine had their reception in Orem this last Friday and it was beautiful. They did cupcakes instead of a wedding cake and Kylee loved them. I came from upstairs the day before and found she had 3 cupcakes on her plate.
Kylee and Kaja dancing to the music before the "Princess Party" started.
The girls loved to just go and lay on the grass in the middle of the tables.
Jared and Jayce enjoying themselves.
Our little princess. She wore the tiara the whole night.

We got some glowing bracelets that Kylee enjoyed flipping around.
Kylee enjoyed helping open Tyler and Christine's presents. Jared asked her if she wanted to wear her princess crown and she said she wasn't a princess anymore, she was in her pjs.
Getting a ride from Kevin (and giving Kevin a leg workout, no need for the gym)
Being superman now instead of a princess.

NAKED!

Monday night, we had a Family Home Evening at my parents house to help get some last minute things ready for the reception tonight. Kaja and Kylee were filthy!! They were digging in the dirt and doing little girl things and were just filthy. Because we were there so late, we decided to just give them a bath at my mom's house. The water was brown!! But the girls had some fun. When they were done, they ran downstairs, threw off their towels and declared to everyone that would listen that they were naked. What fascination.

My Little Daredevil

I just got some pictures from my mom. While we were in California, Kylee loved to jump from bed to bed and use the bed as a trampoline. We tried to get her to not do it. Well, one time, she was walking on the bed and her shoes got caught and she flipped off the bed and landed on her face. She had quite the fat lip. Here are some pictures. We are just very grateful that she didn't hurt herself any worse.

So, a little about the kids since I haven't written for awhile. Jayce is growing up. She is starting to scoot on her little boot. It is so cute. She has 2 teeth that she got on the 4th of July. She is a very mellow little baby. Very content with just sitting on the floor and playing with toys. She is very tolerant of her older sister constantly loving her, giving her kisses, and practically laying on top of her. She sometimes has had enough, but she is a very tolerant little one. Jayce smiles at everyone. A very friendly little one.

Kylee is my active child. She is constantly wanting to go outside and blow bubbles. It is so nice to finally have grass in and with the fence, I can send her outside and check on her every now and then. She is a sweet little girl.

We went to California this last weekend for Tyler’s wedding. It was a horrific drive, well, for Jared that is, but the wedding was beautiful. We had some friends of the family that went and their kids came to the temple, but couldn’t go in so they watched Andi’s kids and our kids. It was so beautiful. My little bro is married. Crazy. Kylee loved the princess dress she got to wear. She kept calling Christine a princess and when we got home, she would put on her princess dresses and grab Jared by the cheeks and give him a BIG kiss right on the lips. It is the funniest thing!!! What they learn. We came home Sunday and I went to the doctor for Jayce on Monday. Long day. She is not growing too much in weight but she is still in the 70th percentile for height. For my side of the family, that is huge!!!! I cannot get her to eat any baby food or rice cereal. Dr. Berry wasn’t too concerned. Some kids eat it well, some don’t, and you don’t want to force them and make meal time a battle. She loves cheerios, goldfish crackers, bread, and last night she downed some peas. I guess she just likes to feed herself. None of this mom feeding me. She has also finally learned to drink from a sippy cup. It is pretty fun to watch her throw her head back to get some water or juice.

My family went to Lake Powell the last week in June. Jared and I were planning on going down on Thursday, but decided against it. I am still nursing and Jayce wasn’t eating and at that time wasn’t even drinking from a sippy cup. I didn’t want to be nursing her the whole time so she wouldn’t dehydrate and then me get dehydrated. I was really bummed about not going. It was a very sad time, but oh well, next year right!!

I have to teach the lesson in Relief Society today and I am soo very nervous. I always get so nervous and then people make so many comments and make the lessons really great and wonderful. The lesson today is on the talk by Elder Eyring called "This Day." It talks about how we need the Lord’s help to overcome procrastination. I love it. It is really for me. Sometimes I get so caught up in cleaning house and taking care of the kids that I forget I have neighbors that have needs and need a good neighbor. I want to be able to listen to the Lord and if He needs me to do something, go and do it. Just like I was taught in the mission field. The Lord will bless us more if we listen to the still small voice and do what he says. I tried to get to a point where I wouldn’t even hesitate if He wanted me to talk to someone. I tell you what, that was so very hard, but the feeling that you have afterwards, that sense of "I can do this" is so wonderful. So, I am going to try and be sensitive to those feelings and be more of an instrument in the Hands of the Lord.

I have not been as good with this blogging since summer has happened. For the first two weeks of summer, Kylee and I took some swim lessons. She did really well. In fact, she makes me nervous she is so comfortable in the water. She liked to jump in from the side of the pool, whether I was looking or not. She was so fun.

I just love the 4th of July!!! We went to the balloons early Wednesday morning. That has been a tradition since I was a little girl. They start getting ready about 5:30ish. My dad has been helping with the breakfast for years, so we get free tickets. We go and have breakfast, then walk around and see all the hot air balloons being blown up. Kylee liked the balloons from far away. Don't get her too close or else she gets afraid they are coming to get her! We then headed out to Granstville and I just LOVE the small town holidays. We didn't have to start on Sunday saving seats. Jared's dad went down the morning of the 4th to put up some chairs. We then headed to the parade and watched kids ride on bombs. That is something else. The Tooele Army Depot sends bombs to the parade and then lets kids ride on them. HMMMM!! Lots of the cars and groups that went by through candy. Kylee was stuck to Jared's knee. She does not like the sound of trucks and stayed right by us. Some of the cousins got candy for her and by the time the parade was through, that candy was smooshed in her little hands!

Granstville has got the best fireworks show around. It was like the Stadium of Fire, only not so long!!! After the Stadium of Fire, you have to wait about 4 hours for traffic to move a little so you can get out. INSANE! I really enjoyed the fireworks at Granstville. Big, huge, and beautiful!! Just what I love. And it was really great that Jayce slept through them all!

Happy 4th to everyone out there!! This is a wonderful land that we live in and are blessed to be here!!

Goblin Valley

Kylee fell asleep on the 4-wheeler ride
