Easter Baskets

Last year I made these real grass Easter baskets. They were so fun and a great idea. This year, I made a couple extra to take to neighbors. If you all want one, DO IT NOW!! Because it takes awhile for the grass to get growing. Here is how you do it. Get some cute baskets, or use some you have. The big one is one that I already had and I used it for the grass last year! I bought the other ones at the Dollar Store (I LOVE this place!). Fill the basket pretty full (about 3/4 full) of potting soil (I also got this at the Dollar Store, AMAZING!) Then put down the grass seed (I bought wheat grass seed. Most nurseries will sell the seeds in 5 lb. bags. That is A LOT. Try and find about a 1 lb bag.) Place the seed on the soil and then cover with about 1/4 inch more soil. Water the soil and then place a brown paper bag on top. Leave the brown paper bag there for a few days, until you can see the seeds starting to sprout. Then take the paper bag off and continue water every other day or whenever the dirt is dry. Then you can decorage the basket with easter eggs!
